WINSTON-SALEM, NC (March 8, 2017) – To better serve members in its growing Member Financial Center network, Truliant Federal Credit Union has promoted Emily Averill to the newly created position of Director of Member Financial Center Operations.
In this role, Averill will oversee the efficient operation of all Truliant Member Financial Centers, including policies, procedures, compliance, audit, security, safety and overall operational effectiveness. She reports to Chris Murray, vice president of Member Financial Centers.
“Emily has continued to excel at serving Truliant through her consistent high performance and strong leadership in projects that improve our ability to serve our member owners,” Murray said.
Emily joined Truliant in October 2003 as a Deposit Representative. She served in several roles before becoming manager of Truliant’s Clemmons location in 2009. In 2014, she became manager of the credit union’s Truliant Way headquarters branch location. In 2016, she was promoted to the role of Area Manager for the Central Region.
Averill is active in her community. She is the founder and President of One Life Rescue, a non-profit organization dedicated to the rights and welfare of animals. She has served as a foster parent for the Forsyth County Department of Social Services for four years and recently adopted a child.
She and her husband Jim are raising two girls in Winston-Salem.
